Truth is stranger than fiction, and Linh knows this better than anyone. Even those sired by the top can be more savage than most could imagine. Perhaps they are enabled by it. For one paralyzed by expectation and lacking the ability to assert herself, she found no shortage of cruelty slung her way.
Enter Arlo, a man who has always been at the bottom. Accused of a crime instigated by those more fortunate than himself, he's offered one final chance at Zacara Academy.
With Linh as his partner, he must guide her through the trials of the school, so perhaps they both can earn their freedom. He must teach her confidence she was always forbidden, and she must teach him of the world known only by a mermaid.

What to expect
-Kemonomimi story where the cat-girls don't just go "nya" and have actual depth to them.
-Modern setting, similar to earth, but a world of its own with extensive history and culture (lore fiends will find plenty to chew on here!)
-School-based which will explore the above world with small classroom segments as well as training and regular battles.
-Magic and spell-casting system complete with elemental affinities and other LitRPG aspects naturally integrated in the world (readers compare it to Soul Eater meets Pokemon, with a dash of Yu-Gi-Oh GX for good measure).
-Musically themed terminology, get your Fortes and Etudes ready as we're gonna up the tempo for this one~
-Very cute fluffy slice of life elements to help break up the drama
